Fascinating perfume from the late 1800s, relaunched in the 2000s with that trendy Egyptian theme. There’s almost no data on its ingredients, but my nose screams clove as the central note, softened by citrus and a touch of incense and spices. I also detect florals, perhaps lilac or carnation. The clove rules and gives it an intriguing oriental vibe, right when it wasn’t fashionable yet. Despite everything, it’s not strident; the version I have is a lotion. Another gem from Lubin.
