L’odeur est très riche, florale et fruitée, je la trouve très similaire au 212 Vip Rose de Carolina Herrera. C’est informel, doux, je pense qu’il convient à tous les âges et aux événements diurnes. Il n’est pas envahissant, donc il peut être porté dans des lieux clos.
Sent amazing, floral and fruity, very similar to Carolina Herrera’s 212 Vip Rose. It’s casual, sweet, and suits any age or occasion. Not overpowering, so it’s perfectly fine to wear indoors.
From the Mon Guerlain family, this one features more rose and lasts incredibly long on both skin and clothes.
J’ai acheté trois millilitres pour offrir à ma famille et mes amies, j’en ai gardé un. Au début, je pensais que c’était un parfum féminin, jusqu’à ce que je me demande si c’était pour la fille la plus spectaculaire et sexy que je connaisse. Il est polyvalent ; certains disent qu’il sent le déjà-vu, mais c’est une fragrance facile à porter tous les jours… cela m’agace ce ton méprisant, allez, sérieusement… ça sent bon, c’est simple et efficace. Un salut à Francisca (L), elle l’a créé et le marché en a besoin. Ce cocktail de fleurs et de poire attire les colibris et les met au travail. I bought men’s perfumes and received 3ml samples to gift to family and friends, keeping 1ml for myself. At first, I thought it was a woman’s scent, then I wondered if it would suit the most spectacular and sexy woman I know. It’s versatile; some say it smells repetitive, but it’s easy to wear daily… I find that annoying, it smells good, simple and effective. Greetings to Francisca (L), she created it… and brought it to market. The mix of flowers and pear attracts hummingbirds and gets them to work. Smells like something I’ve smelled (many times) before: pear and roses, a combination repeated to the point of boredom in recent years. Is it rich? Yes, but it smells like something you’ve heard a thousand times, far from the originality of Mon Guerlain which felt different. If you remove the lavender, it doesn’t even resemble the original; that’s the only note that gives this mass-produced aroma a distinct touch. Anyway, it’s not enough. It reminds me quite a bit of Lancôme’s Idôle, due to the heavy rose notes. Although Idôle isn’t one of my favorites with pear and rose. That’s all I have to say. Rich, elegant, overdone. Made to the point of exhaustion.

I made a mistake reviewing the EDT instead of the EDP. The decant deceived me with citrus notes instead of pear, until I tried the full bottle and was surprised by the difference. The EDP is definitely fresh pear at first, with a sweet rose and very soft woody vanilla; the lavender is barely noticeable, giving a velvety and silky texture. It moves away from its original sister and reminds me more of La Petite Robe Noire, but with pears instead of cherries. I feel that Guerlain touch in the background, filtered through a prominent rose, more powdery, dressing and elegant. Still, I prefer the original for its freshness and originality. The longevity is similar, but the EDP is ideal for autumn or evening, while the EDT shines in spring and summer. Overall, this EDP is more pleasant for most, by removing the lavender’s strength and betting on the fruity-vanilla path. If you love lavender, go for the original; if not, here’s a great option for rose and pear.
I tested the 2019 and 2020 versions and they are quite similar, carrying the classic Mon Guerlain DNA. The rose is supposed to stand out, and although it’s perceived wrapped in the sweetness of vanilla, the lavender balances it without letting it shine. The result is pleasant, soft and creamy at the end; maybe it’s not a great novelty, but it’s elegant for any age and has excellent longevity.
